The Alan Shean Gallery

I've always been a holiday snapper but after retirement acquired an entry level DSLR which inspired me to try to up my game. I read the manual and gradually learned what all the buttons on the camera did. In 2012 I joined the Lutterworth Photographic Society and was made to feel welcome. It became obvious that getting to grips with Photoshop was called for, so I spent some hours in front of the computer and tried not to be overwhelmed. Over time, as a result of continuing practising, club sessions and competition opportunities, things became easier and the photos improved. Winning a few events has been  rewarding and is testament to how the club can be supportive and encouraging.
